Blogging Against My Will

Randomness is not forbidden

I get to be Gwendolyn Fairfax in my Acting in Realism final!

I need to register for classes!

I have to do lots of homework I detest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just drank a sublime cup of tea!

Jessica likes Todd Agnew better than Bebo Norman, and sometimes I have to agree with her. I've recently listened (over and over again as I do with favorite songs) to his song called Wait for Your Rain. Some choice lyrics: “I cannot believe I’m this dirty, and I’m ashamed to even ask to be clean”. What kind of relationship with his savior must he have to really see his sin in such a way?

Lately I’ve been asking God to really teach me to hate my sin and to not want to go back to it again and again like I do. Like we all do. I shake my head in amazement at David, the man after God’s own heart. Who learned from his mistakes and did not visit them again. David had his share of sins, but he chose to bring his heart and soul before his God and break them at His feet. That God might see and know and forgive.

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God you will not despise." Psalm 51:17

“Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name. Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.” Psalm 119: 132-133

Apr. 24, 2009 - Psalms 51

Posted by Kritt

Hi my Dearest Sister,
I have just been studying psalms 51 a little bit myself.

It's cool because when I study something I see its application in many different areas and it seems to come up in other people's words as well.

For example: on BOTT radio network (99.9 down here) one of the preachers was saying that daily repentence is extremely necessary. Not because we need to coninually ask God's forgiveness, he already has once for all time. But, because it necessary for us to be broken over our sin, realizing that it distances us from God and because it places within our mouth and within our heart the desire to be brought back into close fellowship with God.

Psa_51:12-13 - A threefold desire:
1. To be happy - “Restore,” etc.
2. To be consistent - “Uphold,” etc.
3. To be useful - “Then will I teach,” etc.
- W. Jackson.

Love, your ecstatic (because the semester is almost over!) Sister.
