• Aug. 13, 2009 - Recycling for RARA Bags

A while back I posted about RARA Bags and gave a link to check out their site.  I am revisiting RARA Bags because they now have an expanded list of items they are collecting.  For those of you who love turning trash into treasure, the new list will make collecting even more fun.

Do take a few minutes to check out the RARA Bags site.  Kevin is doing an awesome job not only on the RARA Bags themselves, but on her site too.  She has a blog and I found it quite interesting.  There you will also be able to keep up to date on the needs of the day.  You might even look into having a RARA Bag party, and selling some of their products.

Here is the revised list of items they are in need of:

Styrofoam Dishes (used to package meat and veggies)

Clear plastic Containers (used to package locally grown hydroponic lettuce and grocery store cookies)

Plastic Screen Mesh (Used to package onions and such)

Potato Chip Bags and all similar plastic and metallic packaging, such as:

Pretzel Bags

Coffee Bags

Cookie Packages

Metallic Butter Packages

Granola Bar Packages

Dried Fruit Packages

Nut/Trail Mix Bags

Pet Food/ Treat Bags

Donations can be sent to Homebound Missions, or you can contact Kevin and mail them directly as she instructs.  It is all about making it easiest for you, as we appreciate your time and efforts.

Don't forget to check out her site.

Are you saying this is not a real organization?

Some people don't love to donate through their local church because the church is busy building beautiful buildings in America while the rest of the world suffers. Not everyone wants to support fancy buildings. Unfortunately the reality of "the church" in North America today is to circle the wagons and take care of number one.
