Hymns for a Kid's Heart
I seem to be on a musical theme this
week. I picked up for 4.00 a piece, two books called "Hymn for a
Kid's Heart", Volumes 1 and Volumes 2 at my local Ollie's. These
books are written by Bobbie Wolgemuth & Joni Eareckson Tada and put out by Focus on the Family and
run for 20.00 retail price. They are definitely worth the full
price. Each book contains about a dozen hymns. They give a
story behind the writer of the hymn, music and words to the hymn, a
blurb by Joni Eareckson Tada and a CD that has each hymn in the book
sung by childreand and Joni with full Orchestration. Did I
mention that the books are also hardback! A great addition
for your homeschooling music library. I am really enjoying these
as well as my children.

I've been wanting a book that had the background stories of various famous hymns all compiled together. Those stories are such great monuments of faith under pressure! I'll have to add these to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing.
