Welcome to my blog on topics about keeping the home - or attempting to - as a Gen X Mom of four and wife to one. :) This blog is written by me, Lori Seaborg, from the Florida-Alabama Gulf Coast. I'm not the person who is ahead of you in mothering and homemaking knowledge. I'm just the gal right beside you, motivating the 11yo daydreamer, keeping up with the 9yo future homemaker extraordinaire (every mama needs a helper like this one!), teaching the rascally 6-year-old while occupying the 3yo. Let's learn together!
If you could not see the photo of the chicks hatching yesterday, here it is again. If you still can't see this photo, first try this link on my other blog This link is a slower load to the direct photo. I hope you can see it now! Your children would love to see it!
Thanks for posting this picture! What a GREAT lesson for your children. I hope that one day we will have some REAL lessons like this one...I want to move out into the country one day!
I wrote "Baby" on the 13 eggs that were originally in the nest because the other hens were laying eggs in the SAME nest. The mama hen would just scoot over a bit for them to lay. I was getting so confused, so I labeled these.
We prayed to move into the country for 11 years before it worked out for us. We're only on 1 acre, but on a river and can have farm animals. Someday I want 100 acres, but I'm not complaining after praying for 11 years!
