Two New Things in the Sidebar

In the sidebar, over <------ there, I placed two new things:

1.  A link to a book that I am finding very helpful in my quest to learn more about natural health care.  The book is called Alternative Cures, by Bill Gottlieb.  It is full of practical advice for many ailments.  My favorite thing about the book is that the advice is so practical that I can find many of the needed items in my kitchen cupboards.  I also appreciate that medical doctors' opinions are scattered throughout the book.  If you are wanting to get started in natural health care for your family, or if  you want to keep those little ones more healthy, I think you'd also like this book.

2.  The other thing I added to the sidebar is a link for you to get Google's Toolbar for Firefox (see the Google with Firefox box in the "Recently Written" section, at left). Firefox is a very popular browser just like Internet Explorer, but with a few perks that I've been wishing for, like Tabs at the top of the browser, so that I can have open several web pages at once and just click on a tab to go from one to another.  It also has a bar for little icons of my favorite websites (like HomeschoolBlogger.com, of course!).  I really appreciate that feature, too.  One of my favorite features is a small search box that will not only search the common engines like Google and Yahoo!, but will also search Food Network and eBay and Amazon.  In other words, if I want to know the price for Pagoo on Amazon, I only have to type "Pagoo" in the search box and select Amazon, then enter.  I will immediately be directed to the page in Amazon that shows the book, Pagoo.  I like not having to go to the home page and search for the search box, know what I mean?

The link to the left gives you the Googe Toolbar add-on also.  I use the Googlebar every day.  My favorite features of the Google Toolbar are the Highlighter (it highlights my search word in the document), AutoFill (fills in forms), and Find Images (we use this for art class or for creating notebooks of a subject).

Australian Homeschoolers need our help. HSLDA has set up a way to take one e-mail from you and send it 131 members of Parliment urging them to keep homeschooling free in Victoria. If you'd like to help see my post for more details and a sample letter. Thank you.

Friday, February 24, 2006 - Home management schedules

Posted by berrymorin

I recently purchased a home management binder. I'm so glad I did. I feel like I get much more accomplished in the day and still have time for me and my family. I'm even able to take a day off from my work at home job. (I scheduled that in too) It feels so good.
