Homeschooling in the Heartland

Oct. 27, 2008 - Caleb strikes again

Yesterday, Caleb got ahold of the Lysol spray.  He sprayed and sprayed our bathroom.  He was so very proud of himself.  He calls out to Abby, "Abby, do you smell that?  Isn't it refweshing?!"

We were in the van last week, and all of a sudden Caleb said, "God was soft."  I assumed he meant on the CD we were listening to that they sang the word, "God" softly.  I asked him about it, and he replied, "No.  When He made me, God was soft."  I asked him if he remembered that, and he said that he did.

Oh, wow! That one was amazing! So interesting, I've read a story (one of those emails people forward around) where a kid said the same thing...something like God smelled like the rain. Precious, and so humbling.

I have truly enjoyed reading your blog today! I am just beginning to read blogs, when I have time. Maybe I should start one, too. I need to write about my kids more often, so I can capture these memories.
