There are so many, many things to be thankful for this week. First of all to Jehovah Jireh our Provider for Providently meeting our needs in a BIG way this week. My husband took a giant leap of faith, along with a hefty act of obedience, and we saw a true miracle in our finances. Sometimes God tells us to do things that don't make sense to our human minds. We try to rationalize, justify, and hold tight to the things of this world without realizing the very things we are clinging to may be the very things that are taking us down. When my hubby let go of an important business matter, and gave it into the Lord's hands, even at the risk of us losing everything, it was then we saw God move mountains on our behalf. We are in awe of His provision and for this new depth of faith he has graciously allowed us to walk in. To Him be the glory, honor and praise!!
I am also thankful for my friend Dianna. She has been such a faithful friend to me for many years, and even though we live in separate states I feel so close to her in many ways. There are just certain friendships in life that you know are very covenantal, and I have no doubt that she and I are just that. Thank you Dianna for your friendship, encouragement and transparency. For such a time as this!
I was just looking at my calendars of thankfulness that were started back in June, during a very heartbreaking time in my life. As I got out of the pit and started to think about all the things God was doing in my life on a daily basis - even the little things - I started to see my thoughts and feelings change in such a big way. The things that used to bother me stopped bothering me, and the trials I was in began to cease. There is something to the art of thankfulness, and bringing our minds and hearts into that humble place. I truly believe as it says in Psalms 100:4, that we must "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." When we do this there is a transformation that takes place; A beautiful metamorphosis.
Are you thankful today? If so start speaking it forth . . . declaring it out loud. As you do . . . . watch . . . be careful . . . cause something new might just happen . . . and before you know it . . . Down come the BLESSINGS! Whoohoooooo, thank you Lord.
Can you share just a few things you are thankful for today in my comment section. Let's bless and encourage one another, for "this is the day the Lord has made, let US rejoice and be glad in it!" (Psalms 118:24).
