There are a few books I want to recommmend to anyone that wants a healthier lifestyle and information on nutrition the way God intended. Please click on titles to find out more about these books. I have not been compensated in any way to promote these resources, and have chosen to do so on my own accord.
Maker's Diet Book, by Jordan Rubin PH.D
"Jordan Rubin's faith-based journey from near death to vital health, which led him to uncover the timeless principles of the world's healthiest people. By following the Maker's Diet your health dreams can become a reality." I started reading this book a few years ago and put it down out of fear of not being able to follow it,and the cost of buying the supplements, but now have taken it back up with hope that it will indeed help me in my path towards healing, and I have to believe that God will provide for the supplements I need, and if not then His grace will be sufficient. This is an extraordinary book that will inspire you towards truth in health.

Prescription For Nutritional Healing, By Phyllis Balch, CNC
"This is a practical A-Z reference to drug-free remedies using vitamins, supplements, minerals and herbs. One problem most of us have is that we do not get enough nutrients from our diets, because most of the foods we consume are cooked and/or over processed. This destroys vital nutrients the body needs to function properly. The organic, raw foods are severely missing from todays diet. The nutrients suggested in this book promote healing and wellness, by allowing the body to heal and reinvigorate itself [as God intended]." I have used this book for years, and can't seem to get enough of it. Whenever we are sick we open this book and look up the supplements and herbs we need to get better without antibiotics or unnecessary medications. Of course there is a time and place for antibiotics, and we try to remain alert to that. I highly recommend this book as a resource for your family.
Extra Note About This Book: As far as I know this book it is not written by a christian ,so it may contain some new age recommendations such as Ayervadic and acupuncture remedies. Please use caution in taking this author's advice about any new age remedies. Ask the Lord for discernment while using this as a resource. The reason I have recommended it is because the amount of great information on herbs, mineral and nutrients that are listed here far supercede anything I have seen in any other resource.
PCOS Diet Book, By Colette Harris
"As many as 1 in 10 women have Polycystic Ovarian syndrome. Its symptoms often include weight gain, fatigue, excess body hair or loss of hair, adult acne, irregular periods and mood swings/depression. Most experts now recognize that what you eat has a major role to play in your health. This book shows you how to use the right foods to help beat your symptoms, protect yourself from diabetes and heart disease, balance your hormones, boost fertility and lose weight."This book has literally changed my life in the way that I think about food. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago, and really didn't know what to do. My Endocrinologist never gave me any books to read or insight into how I could prevent this terrible disease. I thank the Lord I came across this book on the internet. Ms. Harris educates us in an easy to understand way, and helps us focus on the most important foods our bodies need. She encourages focus on complex carbohydrates, lean meats, whole grains, veggies & fiber. I am encouraged and expectant of great results because of this book. I have also been full and satisfied at the end of the day after eating the right foods, and no sugar-fatigue episodes during the day because of low blood sugar.
Check out Kris Price's (ClassicalEducation4me) site called "Through Thick or Thin,"about weight loss during PCOS. See what she is doing to change
her lifestyle and get healthy.
