A dear friend sent me the lyrics to this song today, and it touched me deeply. I wanted to make sure and post it for those of you that have gone through some really difficult circumstances this year.

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of
The clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray

The Girl Looking Out
By Kelly (KSM) copyright 2004
She looks past the mass and into the heart;
She hears the intentions and thoughts spouting out.
A gift that is hard to bear for many;
But especially for one looking out.
They can see her, but she cannot see them,
For she looks past facades in a box.
They think she is blind, but they really don’t know;
She is really a girl looking out.
Who is this girl that thinks she can see,
Past the faces complex and masked tight;
She tenderly stares at their hearts unaware,
And focus' herself on the light.
She lovingly embraces the moods and the faces,
Of the spectators who callously doubt;
That she has any clue to their thoughts hidden cruel,
Of the package she carries about.
To her she is whole, without scar and ill-intent,
Her joy is revealed in a shout;
She has learned to look in, past the condition of sin;
As a girl who is whole, looking out..
“The Girl Looking Out” Description: This is about a girl who looks past people’s outer exterior and is given discernment into the intents of their hearts. They don’t realize who she is because they are too busy looking at the way she looks on the outside. She is as one on the inside looking out. She is not blinded by the prejudice of outward appearance.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.

Beautiful One
By Kelly (KSM) copyright 2004
Beautiful One . . .
I see the light of your smile,
And how it echoes in your grandchildren's eyes.
Beautiful One . . .
If time could just stand still,
You'd see how much you have filled,
The empty spaces in all of our lives.
No one on earth can take your place,
You're made specifically for us and you'll see,
That you're our . . .
Beautiful One . . .
Each time we kiss your face,
We see the faithfulness & depth of your love.
Beautiful One . . .
Though seasons change, we know;
That you are our special gift sent from above.
Sixty years ago you came into this world,
God had a purpose & a plan by design,
He knew you'd be a . . .
Beautiful One . . .
With a heart that's strong and pure,
He knew what you'd have to endure,
So made you beautiful,
And there's nothing more true
Because we see God's love always echoed in YOU.
“Beautiful One” Description: This was written for a friend in Connecticut, whose Mother was having a birthday. She wanted to give her something special and personal. I remember waking up at 3 a.m. with an intense desire to write and it all just seemed to flow together. It was a big hit with Mom! J

It is Time
By Kelly (KSM) ~ copyrighted 2003-2006
I sit by the campfire, sipping coffee and cream;
Holding the cup You gave to me.
As I sit among friends, I hear the gentle wind blowing;
It’s a cue that You’re calling to me.
So I stand, silently, reverently and I light the lamp I must take;
To face Your calling and command;
A hush falls over this place;
As I look around the campfire at the faces I know;
Each one special and precious to me;
“Can they come with me,” I ask, as a silence permeates my soul;
I know I must come to You alone.
IT IS TIME . . . , IT IS TIME . . .
To move in My direction, you have been too far too long;
It is time . . . , it is time . . .
So I pack up my things and make my way through the woods;
Gently stepping then choosing to run.
I don’t want to lose the trail that leads me to You;
It’s a meeting intended for two.
So I RUN . . . , RUN . . . , RUN . . .
A destination unknown, only found by a faith;
A faith not seen, but heard.
No one to hold onto, have to leave it all behind;
It’s an interlude with a King.
I see a clearing ahead, You tell me stop where I am;
And then quietly, peacefully, you whisper again . . .
It Is Time . . . , It Is Time . . .
You are mine . . . you are mine.
I feel a peace wash over me like none ever before;
It’s the peace You are giving to me;
You see the tears in my eyes and wipe them gently aside;
It is then I feel safe and content.
Come take My hand, and we’ll walk this road together;
And we’ll face any fears along the way;
But know that I am always with you.
A journey meant for just two.
“It Is Time” Description: A poem about the meeting of the spiritual bride and the bridegroom. A tender, touching reminder of God’s call. This is the call to intimacy and quietness within your soul and spirit, while the Lord woo’s and beckons (you) His bride. Revelation 22:17
