This was our home when we lived in Connecticut.  This time of year (Autumn) we always miss New England and its spectacular beauty.  We would go on road trips just to take pictures of the leaves and see what was behind the next bend in the road (good sigh).  We love Minnesota and all that God has given us here, but we can't help reminiscing about our time in Connecticut.

Like this picture of an old factory with a waterfall beside it!  To see this in person is stunning, and the picture really doesn't do it justice, but we came across this on one of our casual car rides out in the countryside of CT.  There was always a postcard picture at every turn.

Thank you Lord that we were able to live there, even if it was only for a few years.  You are so gracious!

For those of you who have visited Millenium Park in Chicago, you'll recognize this as the inside of the "BEAN, " and for sculpture enthusiasts it is most known as "The Cloud Gate." Click HERE to read all about this work of art which was "Inspired by liquid mercury." We had the chance to visit Millenium Park in the summer of it's grand opening 2004, where I stood inside the middle of the bean and pointed my camera up.  This is the shot I was able to get. :-) At night time it is even more spectacular with the city lights transposing themselves onto the Bean.  Simply Breathtaking!

This is a picture of me telling Madonna to "shape up and be a better role model to  young women of the world." I was also telling her to clean up her act and dress more modestly, ya know . . . a stern "Mom-Talk," but alas she didn't care.  Ya see . . . I was lecturing Madonna . . . an exact replica of her anyway - LOL. Nice try Kelly but no go!
