Discover The Science of Sound with The Lexington Philharmonic at The Living
Arts & Science Center!

EVENT: Living Arts & Science Center Discovery Nights!
(formerly Science Night)

EVENT DATE: Thursday, July 6th

TIMES: 6 – 8 pm (Star Lab Planetarium Shows run every ½ hour)

The Science of Sound with The Lexington Philharmonic!
July 6th, 6-8 pm

Discovery Program:
Learn about sound in a variety of ways! The Lexington Philharmonic will be
presenting their hands-on “instrument petting zoo” with over 30 instruments
you can investigate and explore. Also learn how to create your own unique
homemade instruments!

Special Summer Star Lab Show!
Come enjoy a night under the stars in the LASC Star Lab Planetarium. Shows
run every half hour beginning at 6:15. Find out what summer constellations
are visible from our hemisphere and take home your very own star map to
guide your at home observations!

The Living Arts & Science Center is a not-for-profit organization and
requests a Science Night donation of $1.00 for children ages 5 through 11
and $2.00 for 12 years and up.
The Living Arts & Science Center is a not-for-profit organization that
provides creative and unique opportunities for exploration and education in
the arts and sciences. Art galleries, a science gallery, and arts and
science classes and workshops are provided year-round for children and
adults of all ages. In addition, the Living Arts and Science Center
partners with community agencies and organizations to provide free hands-on
arts activities at community events and programs and classes for special
needs and at-risk students.
