Oh my dear, I love your notebooks! We have one more chapter of this Astronomy book to complete. We have been using a three ring binder but I love the comb bound notebooks. Our next science book will be Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day. I will comb bind this one. I have three to do for this notebook as we will all be doing this book together. I may just be asking questions before I start.

Okay, so you made the dividers? Wow!
How many pages per chapter did you allow for narrations? I am thankful that you have done this before me so I can learn from your example.
I wanted to do history notebooks but I haven't attempted them yet. I am also working on Bible notebooks but they will be huge so I will probably take them to Kinko's for spiral binding. Once I am finished with substituting at our church's school next week, I can focus on notebooks and order our new science book and create those notebooks. I'd better buy more card stock!

Oh wow, fabulous books! and that is a really cool machine to have at home. Last year when I put together our homeschool groups year book I had them bound like that at Staples : ) How did you know how many pages to add to each section of the book?
Blessings,
Rosina
I have really enjoyed seeing all your notebooks. I started making them after seeing your idea earlier. I have a small comb binder and want to upgrade to one like yours. :)
I made a Zoology 2 notebook for my kids this year, but I wish I had done the chapter dividers. That's another good idea.
I made the book first.
I counted out one sometimes two pages for each chapter, (this allows a mistake to be ripped out if necessary).
This involves more planning and work upfront, but less work to be done later. So I don't need to add pages throughout the year.
Did I express to you what a truly awesome, incredible, inspired idea making your own notebooks is!! Seriously, I showed my husband who instantly said "THAT would have been perfect for our sons Further Up and Further In study this year, Sheri you HAVE to price comb binding machines"
