Simply Music

Posted in EXTRACURRICULAR

I like the Simply Music Program because I can learn with my children.

It teaches children and adults at an equal level.

You learn to play music before learning notes...so it's fun!

Less than 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week, keeps our interest.

I'm a bit short on words...but here is a lengthy and VERY good post at Pockets of the Future Blog

I had considered that program before and then forgot about it. I'll have to check it out again.

So at what point DO you learn to read music?

I have heard of this program, but I don't know of anyone who has used it(until now). Maybe I'll look into it.

Apr. 14, 2008 - I am still thinking about this program

I have the info printed out and in my "question" stack. I would love to offer this to my children and for myself. Thanks for the review.

Could you submit this to the CM blog carnival for Tuesday?

Thanks,

Apr. 15, 2008 - Simply Music Student Interview

Posted by Anonymous
I am glad to see your post about Simply Music. I also think it is not only fun but very effective. I find that its approach contains many CM methods which makes me feel all the more committed to it.

My oldest daughter is working her way through the CD's now. Back in January I interviewed her at length about her experience and understanding of the program. Interestingly just a couple of days ago, Neil Moore himself (the founder of the program) left a comment!

For more information about the Simply Music program and a view of one student working through it, I invite you to read the interview. "Simply Music is a Fun and Effective 'Living Music' Approach to Playing the Piano" at

Glad to see this post!
