Family Movie

Around the World in 80 Days. We enjoyed it.
It's long,...we split it up between two nights.
Me and Hubby watched Sayonara with Marlon Brando.
These old movies are so much more enjoyable than new movies.

I should rent Around the World in 80 Days for us to watch. We have the Jackie Chan version of it. LOVE that movie, it is a favorite here.

Blessings,

I love Sayanora. Red Buttons was so awesome in that movie.
Did you happen to see AFI's 10 top 10 last night? I love being reminded of Good Movies. I think the court room genre was my favorite last night filled with To kill a Mockingbird, Judgement at Nuremberg, and 12 Angry men. Oh and the Epic Movie list.
If you want you can check them out at http://www.afi.com/10top10/ I think I have seen them all except The Thief of Bagdad.

Have a blessed week.

I remember that movie. It was the last day of school in the 5th grade and we all watched it with a projector. I tried to read the book, but didn't finish it. Maybe I'll try again.

Teaching the Trivium

How can you give your children the tools they need to teach themselves? Long ago students were first taught how to learn. Today, students are taught an encyclopedia of subjects – trivia – but they are not taught the basic skills of learning: to discover, to reason, and to apply.

Classical Christian Education

America's public schools are failing. Douglas Wilson lays much of the blame for this situation on the current idea that schools can educate in a moral vacuum. __________________________
