You know how some people can't stand change?
I'm not one of them!
I love change...
as long as it's good!!
So...I'll be working on some changes and improvements with our homeschool.
(My kids will say 'AGAIN!')
I'll be reading, planning, scheduling, sorting, learning, organizing...
and praying, (can't forget that!) !

Howdy Keri! It seems we are doing a lot of the same ---- reading, praying, planning and then some.
I don't know too much about the classic education, but perhaps its something I ought to read up on. Is it similar to Charlotte Mason?

I've been away for the past month, a nice summertime break, but now its time to get back into a routine of learning......

Hope you're enjoying your summer.

Oh yes, I am in a planning frenzy. I need to do a post on it, because I picked up some tips from friends this year that have helped SO much! If they will help anyone else, I have to pass them on. But must wait until my printer is working again. :)

I am reading all of those same books. lol! Esp Well Trained Mind again, looking much more closely at Pert Stage (logic) children, and what she does with them. I have read the entire book up to the point of highschool, and will reread it nearly every year I am guessing. Such a great resource!

What does your planner look like? I am working on a new one becuase the one I used last year is out of print. I am guessing, with your vast notebook tallents, it is beautiful, and organized. :)

Mom is Presently Reading

Teaching the Trivium

How can you give your children the tools they need to teach themselves? Long ago students were first taught how to learn. Today, students are taught an encyclopedia of subjects – trivia – but they are not taught the basic skills of learning: to discover, to reason, and to apply.

Classical Christian Education

America's public schools are failing. Douglas Wilson lays much of the blame for this situation on the current idea that schools can educate in a moral vacuum. __________________________
