Yes, we did get to go inside and go all the way up to the top. My pictures from up there were not too great because of the clouds. But, the tight squeeze and little steps were fun. I can't believe how they would carry up 2 buckets of oil a night to keep it lit. And the last keeper was a lady who wore a long skirt! They made her stop being the keeper when she was 80! It took 2 men to replace her, they joke.
