We watched it earlier in the year when we were in that time period for history. As you guessed, my boys ate up the war parts and my girl loved the costumes. I've always loved that movie. I've even read the book, although that was when I was much younger.

Cyan loved this movie. It is funny that you just watched it becuase she mentioned it for the first time in months this morning when she hurt herself. She fell and ripped off her toenail somehow... and as she was crying she said that the sceen where they have to cut off that mans leg during the war was going through her head and would they have to do that if they couldn't find her toenail. Poor baby was pretty scared... but of course, I told her that her toenail would grow back and she would be fine... but it was the first time she had mentioned that movie in months. Weird stuff.
