He Is Risen Indeed!

Hello Friends! What a glorious celebration Easter is!! The Resurrection of the Perfect Lamb of God!

Easter was very different for our family this year. To begin with, we recently moved 1100 miles from our families and friends. We left a small town in NE Ohio and moved to St. Petersburg, FL. Our families were not especially close, but holidays and birthdays are big deals with big dinners, cookouts, lots of guests, etc., etc. Today it was just us - and I'm even missing my oldest dd16 who is on a mission trip with my mom.

We own a van that my husband uses to work out of but our family vehicle died about a week before we joined my husband in FL. We haven't been able to get a new car yet so we don't have a church family either. My 11yo dd decided that she was going to prepare an Easter service for us. It was wonderful!!! She took this project on all by herself and announced to the family about 2 weeks ago that she was going to this on her own. (She was nice & allowed her brother who's 9 to help a bit.) She read to us from Scripture and we had wonderful discussion. She prepared bread & mock wine for us & we talked about the Last Supper. It really was a beautiful service. She has such a teacher's heart, it's so neat to have her take the initiative and prepare lessons for her family. It's tough not having a vehicle that seat more than two people; but I wouldn't trade what we experienced today for any car!!!

I hope that you have had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday!!!

He Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed!

Much Love!

Kerri

Hello my long-lost-friend! I've missed you! (but totally understand the computer hiatus).

WOW-- that sounds like an absolutely beautiful and perfect day!!! I wouldn't have traded that for a regular service either. That should make your mommy-heart sing! :-)

I'm glad you survived your move and will be praying for you as you settle in a new town. Praying for God to give you the right church home and a good, positive, encouraging set of Christian friends-- for you, your husband and your children! Oh, and a reliable and useful vehicle too.

Hope to hear from you again-- soon!

Love,
Marsha

Ohhhh! This sounds SO wonderful! What a precious memory for your whole family!

I just noticed that you posted on my blog.

What a treat to see you there!

I have JUST gotten a wonderful little recorder. I will hook it up on Catherine this week when we let her roll! :) (Shhhh...I will make sure first! ha!) She is one incredible gal! I just soak up listening to her when she talks. I love to hear what she is doing and what she has going on.

I am not sure what is happening with the blog on your monitor. What are you using as a browser? Janne has it set up in Firefox, but my Internet Explorer doesn't have a problem. I have both. Just let me know which you are using and we can check it out. :)

Hope all is going wonderful for you. THANKS for your suggestion! We will sure give it a try here! You would love the meetings. They are just fun!

Well, must get running! It is SO Monday! ha!

Love ya!
Cindy
