Oct. 10, 2006 - 2nd Kid Carnival

Micah at Bessie’s Simple Days submitted a very nice poem that he wrote for his Fathers 33rd birthday.

Frodo at There and Back Again writes about the neighbors’ bad-tempered bull that is picketed, not penned, only 20 steps from their front porch! Earlier, her brother threw a Frisbee in front the bull, and is wondering how to obtain it back. Translation of the post in Turkish is included!

Legolas, also at There and Back Again posted about a Turkish wedding ceremony called Kina, a pre-wedding ceremony. It is a very detailed writing including all the customs and several photos!

A guest writer by the name of Gimli posted a short but inspiring poem, reminding me of The Hobbit, which is posted on There and Back Again.

Saul at The One Ring posts about a review of Star Wars III, which he recently viewed.

Frodo at There and Back Again posted about her Commonplace book, where she writes down any quotes, book passages, or poems that she enjoys. She also posted several famous people that used a Commonplace book, including George Washington!

Mountain Princess at My Journal of Life in the High Mountains and Other Places posted her original story she wrote this week while homeschooling. The story is about being caught in quicksand and a quicksand-monster pulling her down.

Snowcrystal at Dancing Flowers wrote about her imaginary story that happened to her while at tea with her toys.

TheEntomologist at A Bug’s Life described how to photograph through a microscope, along with a photo using the same technique.
