Gardening at Christmas?

Posted in Mary, Mary Quite Contrary, How does your garden grow

Oh sisters, what a weird garden this has been!  I planted cabbage, brussels sprouts, and broccoli in the end of August.  I still have not reaped anything from this garden but have cabbages the size of soft balls, broccoli the size of a silver dollar and tiny sprouts.  David jokes that we may just get a very early spring crop!  It has been below freezing 22 days this December in the early morning.  I just knew we would lose it all but those little plants just keep chugging right along.  I just need them to hurry so that I can prepare my garden for the spring planting.  What a weird little garden I have!
