We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the house, but here is one my husband took the next day of the exterior when he and Jenna were on a trail ride:
No, the house is not falling into a sinkhole - it's just a bad angle. He WAS on a horse at the time, so we'll cut him some slack.
This picture was taken from the front of the house, looking out toward the front lawn:
And from the bridge area above the lawn (not a picture I took):
Nice little "starter home," if you really want to be honest...
There were several of these little guys at various corners of the building. I think they're the "welcoming kitties:"

I know they're gargoyles, just puttin' ya on! Our tour guide told us that they were popular at one time for the purpose of warding off evil spirits (which I knew), but she also said that they have remained popular as a drainage device, becoming part of the gutter system in many houses. THAT I didn't know! These cuties, however, are simply for decoration. I'd get some for my house, but I think they might violate our neighborhood's deed restrictions against "nasty limestone creatures perched at threatening angles that may scare young children, meter readers, and domesticated pets." On the other hand, there's always that squirrel....okay, focus, Kim...go to your happy place...

Whew. That's better. One more picture. DH and DD went on the aforementioned trail ride on the Biltmore Estate, and their guide took this wonderful picture:
I think it's my favorite one from the whole trip! It's now my computer wallpaper. We sure had a great time, and I, for one, can't wait for next year! Kiddoes agree, as long as we don't walk through the whole house again. I guess that's a lot of steps for little legs!
