It's amazing to me that no matter what time our kids go to bed, they always seem to get up at the same time. Particularly Gameboy, whose internal clock seems to ring at about 6:45 every day. We have NO incentive to let them stay up at night, because regardless, they wake at the same time.
So we should have known better, but still decided to keep Horsegirl(10) and Gameboy(6) out last night for New Year's celebration at church (QUITE the ROCKING affair, it was!). Well, we're driving home at about 12:30 and I informed them both that I expected them to sleep in the next morning (well, THAT morning, which was another confusing conversation to have at that time of the day!). Gameboy assured me, "Don't worry Mom, I'll sleep in. I'll get up at 7.........:01! Hardy har, a real comedian, that one.
By the way....he sidled up to our bed this morning at 7:26! Ha, Mr. Smarty-Pants! I squeezed another 25 minutes outta ya!

Ha ha -- my children are the same way. No matter what time they get to bed they are up as soon as it is light. My oldest sleeps in no matter what tinme she goes to bed early or late.
I think the Blue Mist is still there atleast it was the last time I drove in that area.
Thanks for stoping by today!
Happy New Year,
Maria

I'm so sorry he wouldn't sleep in for you...but rest assured that when he hits those tween and teen years he'll be zonked out during the mornings, but wide-awake and ready to talk late into the evenings! That's been our experience anyway. It'll be here before you know it...ya might have to switch to caffeinated coffee friend!
Love, Lori

Okay...HorseGirl looks regal and awesome in her horse get-ups. I'm sure there's a much more technical equine term, but alas, I don't know it.
I also must say how I love her hair for the Father/Daughter Dance! I won't tell your hubby for fear he will not let her do it again.
