chapter one:they're coming in the morning!
ok im gonna have a story to write. and i made it up myself with one or two insperations! so here it goes!
this story is about a horse named sasha. to tell you the truth her brother was spirit( if you want to know about the story of spirit just order the video from the library its called spirit ) and this was about a year sice what happend to spirit and remember when spirit got away? well when he did he also brought a horse with him... rain and now rain had a fole with spirit! and his name was shanee. her father is the herd leader and her mother is the sweetest kindest horse mother that any horse could wish for! and sasha's life was very good and there where some dangers......men from the south had come to find horses and catch them. and train them to be riden and some would be sent to pull trains up hils and some to the army. and as she grew up in the spring time she ran races with the eagle, and went troting through the snow in the winter, and in the summer grazed with all the other horses' and in the fall went walking through the leaves, and when she was all grown she was a beautiful lady.and all the women horses loved her and the men admired her. and one nightall the herd was asleep and sasha was awake. she was walking around the sleeing horses. and out in the distance she saw a twinkling light. and she started to go out when she stopped and thoght to herself. stop and think about this sasha. this is exatly what happend to spirit! and i'm pretty sure that the light is a camp fire light and it is for sure not safe to go out there.i must warn the others! she galloped to her fathers side and nugged him a little and he woke and she told him that there were men at least a mile away. and they would probubly come here in the morning and she said so many things in one blurt that it is hard to tell what she said. and her father said"we must wake the others. i must speak to them all. get your mother to help. and get rada as well.(rada (Rod-a) was the night guard that night and he had a eye for sasha and he was sometimes anoying) sasha gave a sigh. and she troted to go wake her mother. mother.....mother.....MOTHER. hmmmmm what do you need sasha?said her mother father sent me to wake you up.... the 2 leggeds are back and father told me to tell you that we have to wake the herd. and mother..... can you go fetch rada? i will start to wake the herd. yes i will said her mum. and they both walked off.(later) all the horses were gatherd 'round a small mound and when they all saw that there leader was ready to speak they began to grow quite. there are some 2 leggeds coming this way. there is much to do. we shall send 2 young stalions to go closer to them (but not to close) and be sure and make sure that they don't come here. and thoose 2 will be.......rada and saul. now if the humans start to come towards us they wil gallop on back and warn us. and we need to be ready when they come. we all need to be on our way if we see them coming. and you need too keep your children very close to you. there will be no looking back. and we need to go at full speed.never turning back. does everyone understand? there were lots of nieghs and whinnys. then he siad good. now let us rest a bit. and he walked down from the mound. everone started to talk to each other. then sasha's mother walked off to get some rest.(did i forget to tell you that sasha's mum was pregnant?) but sasha walked to the mound and stood up and said "everyone. please quite down and get some rest. we all need to get some rest." and sasha walked down from the mound and went to where her mother was. and then the herd was a bit more peaceful. sasha walked up to where her mother was laying on a patch of tall grass( for all the other grass was a bit shorter then this patch of grass) and said " mother. are you allright?" - becuase her mother was staring into the distance- huh? oh yes i'm fine.said her mum. i was just thinking about spirit. it's hard to believe that he is being trained to be the next leader. we better get some rest! good night sasha. goodnight mum. and sasha layed down beside her mum and slowly fell asleep.
