Pegasus Progress Update
The progress at Pegasus has been outstanding lately and visitors to site are constantly telling us how truly impressive it's all looking and how much has changed in the last few months. If you haven't had the chance to get out to Pegasus yourself lately, you are in for a very pleasant surprise when you do.
There's an air of optimism and enthusiasm from owners, and residents now living at Pegasus report they are very happy with progress and are looking forward to a number of key amenities being open by December. There's been a noticeable increase in both enquiries and sales lately, as confidence starts returning to the property market.
Pegasus Golf Course (formerly named Mapleham Golf Course) will be officially opening for play in December so if you're a golfer shine up your clubs and get ready! The construction of the pro shop and 'Sprig Bar' is well advanced and this will also be open in December.

Brett James was recently appointed as General Manager - Pegasus Golf & Sports Club and Jenny Lake started work recently as Business Development Manager. Together they will be setting up all the golf operations.
The Convenience Centre is currently under construction and on schedule for completion by December. This will have a general store for everyday grocery shopping needs, a cafe and bar, and a bakery - imagine... fresh croissants for breakfast!

The most noticeable progress has been on the feature lake. The lake edging and the beaches are almost complete with a mixture of golden sand beaches and pebble beaches.
The lining of the lake is also almost complete. The lining is a 200mm thick layer of river stone over a high tensile plastic geotechnical reinforcing grid. In the next few weeks we will be placing a "sunken ship" on the lake bed. Once the lake is filled, this boat will be underwater and will enhance the recreational diving environment as well as being used for diving instruction.

The footbridge between stage 7 residential lots and the central island is complete and the structural work for the suspension bridge between the island and the town centre area is well underway.

The retaining walls in the lagoon entertainment area and the wall that separates the temperature-controlled swimming bay from the rest of the lake are under construction and are on target for completion towards the end of 2010.

A further 94 titles in stage 7 were issued this week, bringing the total number of titles issued at Pegasus to 615. There are around 60 houses already built and many more in the plan approval stages. Settlements are coming in on time and many people have just been waiting for title to get started on their new homes.

The beach access road will be in this summer and in late 2010 the swimming bay and hot pools will be open. Also in 2010 the Pegasus Golf Course clubhouse will be constructed, the wetland areas will be completed and the commercial centre will be under construction.
