We want every Scripture our children have ever learned to be firmly remembered, imbedded in their minds forever. It is hard work to learn verses by heart, so why learn them to forget them next week? The key to remembering verses for the rest of their lives is review, review and more review
I love this article of Jonathan Lindvall:
Memorizing Scripture: A Joyous Legacy Written by Jonathan Lindvall http://www.boldchristianliving.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5&Itemid=25
We use Jonathan's approach to review more than the approach I mention in this article below. The approach I mention below is what we used during our time with The Navigators. Occassionally I will take a child aside to go through their verses individually but we do like the fun of reviewing together as a family.
