I wasn’t up for a full week of school and decided to focus on Christmas for the week since Jesus’ birthday was coming up. We watch the movie of the Nativity story.
For math we just reviewed the math facts and went through the flashcards, did a little bit of problems, mostly column addition. I didn’t want to start with newer, harder math until I was sure that we’ll be working full steam again. Having holidays in the middle of the week really doesn’t work well with our schedule. It seems to upset the whole equilibrium of our schooling...as much as there is one :-)
We back tracked a little with the spelling, just a day or two and then continued as usual. We finished a week of LLATL and the spelling words were sign, goat, some and said.
MAFA is finished for the semester and we have a couple of weeks off, which fits me perfectly since I needed the break. We also didn’t go to Boys and Girls club just because I’m not sure when the schools are having vacation time and I really don’t want to be there when all the school kids are there. I can imagine it to be like a madhouse with all the kids there :-)
