I mean really, I must be crazy, or soon to be lol! We have now moved in with the whole family, my sister in law found us a big enough house for every one to have their little corner, it has 6 bed rooms, two rumpus plus the lounge, two bathrooms and 3 separate toilets (believe me this is great!!), a pool and two garages, the garden isn't huge, but big enough besides there are plenty of parks in Sydney just a matter of driving to one.
So in the house there is MaHoney, Me, 'Lisey, Merah, Gil Gway, their grandfather, 3 uncles one aunty and 2 cousins, 12 of us. But everyone has their own bedroom, one uncle has the small rumpus downstairs. Ask me in another month or so how its going!
Seeing as we've moved, we needed to get us some furniture quick smart, my books had been in boxes long enough. So a quick trip, or two or three haha, to Ikea, did the trick.
We got a large bookcase, which as I look at it now looks almost too small, another on may be called for, two table/desks, that we use for the school desks/computer, two sets of drawers for the kids, one bed for me and Ma Honey, (we have been on a matress on the floor since February, I know I know) two bedside lamps (a first lol! we must be growing up) and a baby safety gate for the top of the stairs.
Speaking of the safety gate, my little man had a tumble down the stairs two nights ago, they are very steep, and although they have been told not to play on them, his sister and him were. pushing up on the rails so that their feet were of the ground, he must of lost his balance and went head over heels right down to the bottom! only his sister saw him (we all heard and came running) and it frighted the begeebers out of her, she was crying, my little man was crying, I was almost crying and telling them of at the same time. But he is fine, a bruise and scratch down the middle of his head, plus I was waking him up every hour or so, just to make sure! We are very lucky, that God was watching over him.
This move hasn't been too bad, we've carried on with our HS, some stuff has gone by the wayside, but we've been to nearly all of our classes, watched the Olympics, did the reading, writing and arithmetic, and just had alot of fun.
Starting on needs and wants for Social studies/HSCEI (just doing one week on this, supposed to be a whole term I think?! but really, please, just get the basic understanding in and reinforce it with real life examples whenever they crop up!
Still doing world history, (The Child's History of the World by Virgil M. Hillyer got mine from Chariot Press in Australia) .obviously the ancient Olympics has been covered in the last couple of weeks, which was a jump forward in our book, so going back in time this week to chapter 12 The King of Jews.
Bed time reading is making a comeback after a months holiday!
The little kids are both starting a new workbook, that we usually take for homeschool classes. Just the ones you can get at the news agency.
Catching up with 'Lisey's record keeping. Haven't done any since term two, but we have been busy lol!
Started knitting a jumper for my son using 'Zoomy' wool by patons, and a pattern using that wool, is really quick which I love! already finished the back!! Will probably finish this week, for me thats amazing.
Getting the kids to knit using the larger needles and wool, easier to handle an you see results quicker.
Back to Our Sunburnt Country for the remainder of the term. Our Sunburnt Country
Start with NZ history beg next term.
