My daughter Alexis and I just finished watched Pride and Prejudice for our "girl movie night."  I had started reading the book, but didn't get far before I put it down.  I do plan to read it, but at the time, I wasn't in the mood for it.  Alexis and I are in agreement, it was one of the best movies we've seen.  How romantic! 
It was so great that this movie was PG and didn't have anything objectionable in it.  I didn't think Alexis would follow as she had a bit of trouble with all the characters at first, but she stayed interested throughout.
