I have been hearing about more Christians celebrating what most consider Jewish holidays and it has gotten me interested. Lucky for me I have a great friend whose husband and daughters are Messianic Jews, so I have someone to ask questions to. She has let me borrow some books to look at to learn about these holidays and how to celebrate them. Her daughters are friends with my daughters and they have seen some of the Jewish rituals/prayers while being in their home and my girls think they are so beautiful. This coming Friday Alexis has been invited to dinner and Shabbat to celebrate Rosh Hashanah with their family. She is very excited. Amy has let me borrow some books about the Jewish holidays and I've been looking at them this evening. Since they are book that I would need on hand if I was going to try and celebrate the holidays with our family, I chose some that I liked to purchase.
I've already bought A Family Guide to the Biblical Holidays by Robin Scarlata
and tonight I ordered the following:
God's Appointed Times by Barney Kasdan

Celebrate! Stories of the Jewish Holiday

And finally The Family Treasury of Jewish Holidays
