And went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was really good, but the movie is geared more towards older children. It wasn't that scary but just deals more with the characters which are teenagers! So I don't think our younger children thought it was that great.
I let them take the whole day off from school today, but we're going to make it up tomorrow. We also have to rake leaves up in the yard tomorrow.
I bought my Christmas cards yesterday and have them all filled out and ready to go. I'd like to order some Christmas address labels though. I still can't believe it's Thanksgiving in 6 days. The holidays really snuck up on me this year. I am in no way ready for any of it. I don't even feel like making a turkey next week (although I'm ready to eat it, just wish someone else would make it!)
I finished reading The Good Earth for my bookclub, we meet this Sunday at a Chinese restaurant. If you haven't read this book, go and get it! It's SO good, I'm actually re-reading it already, want to go back and read it over before we meet, but I don't think I'll be able to read the whole thing over again in two days. So much happens in the book though and I need a refresher of the beginning half.
Well I've gotta get the little ones to bed and the older two are staying up to listen to me read HP6 aloud. |
Nov. 21, 2005 - Cool!
We are going to have to replace all of our HP books. We have just read them so many times. I think most of them are our second copies. I think that it is time that we invest in the hardcover. Maybe next year.
