It's a nice hot day. I woke up with a sore throat though, so we stayed home from church. I'm heating up my spaghetti sauce for lunch, the kids are outside fililng up the little pool since it's going to be in the 90's today. Jody and Chandler are going to mow the lawn. I have my Bible study tonight, so I'm going to take it easy today so I will feel good enough to go tonight. Yesterday Zarek's party went really well. We had 10 extra boys here plus our 5 kids so it was kind of crazy. We cooked burgers and dogs on the grill and they boys played basketball, kickball and football. After, two of his friends stayed a bit later and they had to play his new video games, which was fine with me, i was ready to lay down and relax to recover from the party. I've decided to just give up on trying to fit any school work in while Chandler is here, I will just wait until he's gone. I've put a start date as July 25th. That way VBS will be over and Chandler will have been home for about a week and they should be ready to settle down and work. I hope. Well they'll just have to! I'm resolved to be more strict this year! With myself and the children. They have to learn to get their work done before play time. I've been too easy on them, letting school days turn into play days way too much. |
