Well, yesterday I went to the zoo with my four boys. My daughter had to work, so she was sad she couldn't go. My nephews were off of school for spring break, and they met us there. My boys were glad to see and play with their cousins.
We saw just about everything. My 5yo was fascinated by the giraffes. My 7yo loved the elephants.
We sat down by the elephant exhibit to take a break before exiting the park, and took out our nature notebooks, and sketched and colored penciled our favorite animal. My 7yo did and elephant, and it was nice.
My 5yo did the giraffe, and I was amazed at his artistic ability, not to mention his wonderful memory. We had visited the giraffes 30 minutes before, and when he made his entry, he even remembered to put the hairs on the giraffe's neck!! It was detailed. If I can figure out how to download them to the computer, I'll post them.
Incidentally my 5yo is a lefty, and he seems more prone to the arts, and music, while my 7 yo is right handed, and is more prone to numbers and math. Isn't it funny how they are so different, but each has their strengths, if we just look for them.
