Our Trip to Moab, Utah (Memorial Day Weekend)
We saw petroglyphs left by the Indians just about everywhere we went. This one is the most amazing to me, because in the upper right hand corner, you see a spirit, an angel or something above the hunter. I thought it was cool.

We caught an inchworm, and let it crawl on us. It was so cute.

We hiked to Delicate Arch 3 mile hike (uphill both ways LOL). That's our little family in the center of the arch. We had so many tourists around us! I held out my hands, and let the wind blow! It was very windy, and I just loved it. I also took time to lay on a warm rock, and just let myself relax. What a joy, when you can feel and see the Lord in nature all around you! Nothing can compare!

We caught several crawdads, and one hung onto our butterfly net for dear life. We let him go, when we were done checking out how cool he was, and taking his picure.

We camped at Kane Creek, and had hotdogs and smores over a fire. (can you say healthy? LOL) These are my 2 teenage boys: RJ (16) and Jacob (13). Handsome guys...huh? A little dirty from camping, but handsome still.

We caught lizards (which hubby didn't take pictures of). I wish he had, because they were so cute!
I took my paints, and painted the prickly pear cactus you see in bloom and the outcrop of red rock after that. The turned out well. My daughter is hanging onto a %40 off coupon for Robert's Craft (where she works) and is planning to buy the same set I have, and a nature notebook. I love having portable paints and a small brush to do these on nature hikes. She saw how much I enjoyed it, and now wants to do it too. "inspire not require!" :)

I hope you enjoy our pictures. Thank you Amber!!! For explaining to me how to get them both in the same blog at once. :)

When I was younger, I borrowed my gparents van and went with a group of friends to Arches. We saw Delicate arch...and then the van had to get towed due to a hole in the radiator. It was a holiday weekend and we spent the rest of our time in the garage waiting for the van to be repaired to go home. At least it was memorable. I'll have to visit Arches again someday!
