• Nov. 20, 2006 - New website

I just had to post a picture of our tree.  Yes, the ornaments are gone off the bottom, that is what happens when you have little ones.  LOL

Right to the side of the tree is our nativity (you can't see it in the picture) but I think it is important to have one for the little ones to "arrange".  I have fond memories of arranging my grandmothers nativity set, and I want my children to have those types of memories.

I have been working extra hard on my book.  99% done, and my website is finally up and running.  It is a work in progress, but we are getting there.

If anyone is interested.

If you do stop by, please let me know what you think.  I'd love to hear your opinions.  Just, please go easy on me, it is the first webpage I've ever built.  So, remember you are talking to someone who is computer illiterate.  LOL

Happy Holidays!

Debbi

You are one WAY talented woman!! And, I'm not talking about the tree...although that is one terrific tree..it's so tall! But, I visited your book site. How exciting that you have written a book!! Plus, the classes you have organized. Whew! You have energy. I really liked the list of resources you provided...It Takes a Mom to Raise a Village sounds very intriguing.

BTW, I bawled, too. I'm not always one to immediately burst into tears...news usually has to sink in with me, but not with this...I did the same thing, I just sobbed. It does put life in perspective, doesn't it?

Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

I had two nativity sets for years! One I bought inexpensively when we were first married and one my sister-in-saw bought for me in Italy. My kids could and did play with my more inexpensive one, but my Italian one was off limits!

We have those in MN for 1 month and they light up the perimeter of our yard. My hubby caught some and let them go in our bedroom but he forgot to turn off the fan. OUCH. I have never seen bugs like that since we moved out here. I love to decorate for xmas and my kids are older so my tree looks better, other problem is we have a kitty in the house and I know what will happen this year to the tree. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Just checked your website. Your book sounds like something I wish I would have written. Going off the quotes, you are right on with education and the Government with all the regulations they are trying to impose on us. We need to protect ourselves, I do think the book may prove valuable for us to use in defending our way of educating the future. It will probably bring to light small things that we do not see coming. Maybe someday you will help preserve our future rights to home education, you never know.

Your new site is amazing... it is obvious how much work you have had to put into it and you are still doing your everyday walking around super mom thingy!
You asked where I get my poems and quotes ... I sorry to tell you, but I steal them. When I read and come across a group of lovely words I kinda write them down in my notebook. And then sometimes they fit into something I'm writing..
so I sort of tuck them in ... without permission. Can we still be friends?
be blessed,
Miss Meg

My dd was into cowboys and pioneer days since she was 5. She skipped the dolls and went into making up her own plays and now comics. They are all cowboy related. It may be the one thing your 8 yr old stays with and then you will need to buy a horse or 2, heehee,

About Me

I am new to this blogging thing, so you'll have to put up with my inexperience. I am a homeschool mom of 5 (for the last 12 years). I love poetry (reading and writing), oil painting, water colors, cooking and scrapbooking. I love science fiction, and enjoy the mountains in the summer and fall. We enjoy bug collecting, rock collecting, and plant pressing. We love our nature notebooks, and our nature walks. I look forward to learning from you all. I love Charlotte Mason, be we use in conjunction with other forms of learning. We are flexible. LOL
