• Apr. 16, 2008 - Nature hike pictures

I have been sick!  I have a sore throat, swollen tonsils, runny, stuffy nose, sneezing etc...

I'm sorry I haven't been on here.

I promised to post pictures of our nature hike, so here they are:

Here are my kids from my 20yod to my 7yos.  My daughter is holding hands with a young man that has been courting her.

It was cold, so most of us wore coats, but as you can see, a few of the rebellious ones didn't.  LOL  They suffered the consequences.  Here we are walking over a frozen lake.

Here is a better picture of the lake:

My 15yos had to climb up to the top of the island in the middle of the lake and have dad take his picture.  I was at the bottom panting to death.  LOL

And dad had to take one last photo of the sunset before we left and came home for Sunday dinner:

It was too cold that day to do much more than explore and find some cool stones, some animal tracks, and throw rocks at the ice in the middle to see how big of a rock we needed to break through the weak part.  LOL

We did some paintings of a frozen waterfall, but I don't have pictures of them.  I'll have to post them another time.

Happy Learning!

There's a sweet and easy "primer" set by www.sarahdavid.com called The Aleph-Bet Story - and there's 5-6 work books. I've worked through this whole set.. and forgotten it.. lol And we've also worked through http://www.ekspublishing.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=24 - which taught us the prayers as we were learning to read the Hebrew.. I've forgotten much of that too.. as I was only sporadically at those classes, my husband attended the other sessions - our primary purpose was to get our son to his classes...

Trent has worked through this primer http://www.amazon.com/First-Hebrew-Primer-Beginners-Biblical/dp/0939144158

sorry you've been sick. you came ot mind a couple times last week, now I know why I was praying for you. Hope you're feeling better.

Beautiful pictures! Very peacful and relaxing.....I'm not a cold person, though I live in CO, but the pictures look so inviting!

I have to say, it pleased my heart to heart you say that young fellow was 'courting' your daughter. It seems thats an unpopular word for a lot of folks....but one I believe is given to us by the Father. How wonderful for your daughter. How long have they been courting? And how old is she?

She will be 20 in July. He has been courting her for about 5 months now. I just hope it doesn't go too fast. I am not ready to lose my only daughter yet. LOL

Looks like you had a nice adventure. Sorry you've been sick, me too. I'm feeling better now, but some nasty germ took me down last weekend.

Good to hear from you!
Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
