• Jun. 14, 2008 - 2008 Homeschool Prom Pictures!!!

I am finally getting around to posting our Prom pictures.  I've been busy.

Here is my 15yos with his friends (showing off muscles and pretty faces).

We had a limbo contest and started out with many homeschoolers...

By the end of the limbo contest this young man (the one going under the stick) won...I think you can see why.  Hubby and I held the stick...(boy...I need to lose a few pounds!  lol).  It was amazing to see how limber these kids were...not many left at this point.

We had lots of ballroom dancing.  There was instruction before the dance (my son taught the class).  Here are a couple of our homeschoolers practicing the waltz...don't they look elegant?

We had several contests.  This one is for best costume.  The youth had to where costumes that represented a decade of the last one hundered years.  My 15yos won...he had on a 1920's costume...but he wore tennis shoes, because he said his sunday shoes weren't good for dancing.  lol  He won a cd player and he loves it!  He is on the end in the black suit with red tie.

Again I express my gratitude to Calvary Chapel for letting us use their facilities for this dance.  Not many places allow homeschoolers to use their facilities, and this church has been very kind to us in letting us use their facilities.

The gals who put this prom on did a great job!  Thanks for all your time and talents!

Looks like a lot of fun!!

The concert was awesome! They all have great voices, and they blend really well. They sang several songs from The Sound of Music, as well as several others. A couple of them were in different languages, but they were still very pretty!

I hope you have a wonderful week!! In Christ, Erica

Great pics; tfs!

Thanks for posting my blog. Things have been nuts here and I'll soon post about it, but my SIL's family is temporarily living with us as they move to town and try to find a place. I'll be back around soon! :)

They looked like they had so much fun. They seem to grow up too fast. I am not ready for mine to be of that age, eeks. I wish we could slow the time down.

Thanks for the pictures of the prom. My daughter is in the first picture, she really had a great time! I was most impressed with the modest clothing, there was only one girl out of all of them who attended who came immodest!! Thanks again for the prom!
We look forward to next years prom.

Great fun! Very nice of the church to support you all with the use of their facility. What a blessing.
And yes, I can see why that young man won the limbo contest --- wowzers! Lets see if he can do that in another 20 years! :))
You look great, by the way! I love your shoes....I am a shoe fanatic!

And I too want to visit Thailand to see those Parrot Flowers, they are magnificent!
