• Jan. 13, 2009 - Homeschool Christmas Party Pics

I try to throw an annual skating party at CHRISTmas for homeschoolers.  This year was such fun.  We had all kinds of games, trivia questions and prizes.  I enjoyed it.

We bring in our own ipod so we can control the music, and it is such a fun day.  Our local skating rink usually charges $200 for 2 hours and then we each pay $2 for skating and then it is paid for.  It's a real easy thing to organize with a great turnout.

Here are our photos:

I HAD to include this cute little girl.  She came dressed so festive with beads in her hair.  She was just so darling I had to include her picture.

The kids bring skooters and some skate, moms sometimes bring a stroller (if they have little children) and skate with the kids.  It's such a fun thing to do on a Friday.

It looks like you had a lot of fun. That's a really cool thing that they let you bring in your own music, too. We used to do skating activities when the kids were younger and they were such fun. And good exercise, too!

Being in the northeast, it took me a minute to realize that it was a roller skating rink. I was wondering why there were scooters on the ice!

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

How very cool! I love the idea of allowing the moms to bring the strollers on the rink. We too enjoy our local rink but we are not allowed to bring skooters and certainly not strollers, which makes it difficult for me with small ones. Looks like a great time was had by all. And I too think you did a great job including the last pic -- the little girl is simply a doll!!

You mentioned you went to an art class...I'm interested in hearing more about the oils your son is using. How does he enjoy the oils? Have any pics of his work? That is one medium I have not dabbled in, at least not yet.

Thnaks for the beautiful comments on my children's water color art...they enjoy it very much.
