Homeschool Mission Statement
“This is the journey God intended us to take.”
Created by MOM AND DAD BKR
* Our purpose in homeschooling is to give our children an individualized, quality education with a solid foundation of traditional values, Christian character, Biblical standards, and faith.
* Our belief is that learning is a lifelong adventure in which the whole family shares; and that children's minds readily absorb knowledge when they have stability in their surroundings, love, encouragement and discipline, together with the freedom to wonder, explore, imagine, ask questions and HAVE FUN!
* Our goal is for our children to be independent thinkers, able to learn at their own pace, pursue their own interests, and develop confidence and self-discipline in the comfort and security of their own home.
*Academically, we wish to prepare our children to have a mind that is reasoning, clear thinking, and objective while focusing on the truths of the Lord.
* Our plan is to love, encourage, teach, and correct our children; to protect them from negative peer pressure, false teachings, and bad temptations that would harm their developing spirit; and to surround our children with authority figures who openly express love for life.
*Socially, our goal is to model compassionate godliness to build these same qualities in our children by our example. We desire for our children to walk in the Fruits of the Spirit of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance and faith.
* Our hope is that we will raise our children to do their best, to realize their special talents, to be concerned for the needs of others, to become responsible citizens, to be morally and spiritually wise, to be skillful and knowledgeable in every area that will be useful to them in their future, and to grow up to live fulfilling lives that glorify God.
*Spiritually, we want to lead them to trust in a true and living Savior and to appreciate the wonders of God's creation. Ultimately, our children are God's greatest gift to us and He has entrusted them to us to hone them from an early age. We will raise children that are wholeheartedly committed to seeing the world through His eyes.
*Morally, we desire to instill a sense of unconditional love, acceptance and security to build a healthy perspective towards others.
"Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it." ~Proverbs 22:6
