THEME:
This week share your favourite spot to study with your kids. There are many places you can sit down to teach, learn, and work, but where do you prefer and why? You’re welcome to include a photo of your study spot!
Well, we sometimes use different spots, but we usually study in the school room.

As you can tell, it used to be the nursery, so it's small. But it works fine. At other times, we may study in my bedroom. The girls sometimes study in their own rooms, and then we use the computer out in the family room, too. I haven't done this in a long time, but I like to do school work outside. And, of course, life is learning, so "school work" takes place everywhere and anywhere!

Oct. 11, 2008 - twin :)
A weekly home blessing comes from FlyLady.net, which is a wonderful resource for us struggling messy twins. The concept is to set aside a specific day and a specific time to do most of your regular housework (vacuuming, dusting, etc.) Not the deep cleaning stuff, and not the stuff that really should be done each day. But just the stuff that needs done once a week to keep the home clean. When you clean a room, or clean the house, you are blessing your family...thus, the weekly home blessing. Those of us who are naturally messy and unfocused need this sort of reminder and catchy phrase to get the regular work done instead of waiting till "tomorrow" to get to it ;)
So, our weekly home blessing consists of tidying up the school room and the bedrooms, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor, and getting all the laundry sorted and started. Everyone pitches in and has assigned tasks. My goal is to pick one room to do a little deep cleaning on to, but that doesn't always happen. That way we start our school week out with a clean, tidy home....and I don't feel like I have quite as many things on my to do list during the school week.
