I went to CANADA's WONDERLAND yesturday.  I went on lots of rides.  One of the rides I went on was the "fly".  It had a very fast downward slope.  I went with my Grandpa.  We went with the grade 5 and 6 from our church's Christian Academy.  We went in groups and my group was all girls.  We also went on the boat ride three times!  Grandpa bought me a green crystal candy stick.  It was very, very yummy.  When I came home, I was ready to fall on my bed.

I am tired of snow!  I hope this is the last snowfall of the season.  Are you tired of snow?  My mom says our last snow storm was a record breaking snowfall for our region.  I can't wait for summer.

We are having our week long March Break.   My sister and I are having a sleepover tonight.  It's going to be so much fun.  I will write about it tomorrow. 

My aunt has a new baby boy.   His name is Declan.  He is sooooooo cute.  He is their first baby.  He was born on December 29th.  He has lots of dark brown wavy hair.

My other aunt has a new baby girl.   Her name is Katie.  She is sooooooooo cute.  She is their fourth baby.  She was born on January 12th.  She has blond hair.

Wow!! We had a lot of babies born!

We went camping at Valen's on May 18-21.  We went with the Gray's, Korten's and three other families.  We went hiking and saw lots of trilliums (which is Ontario provincial flower).  We camped in a big group site and we will use the same site next year.  We found a path that led to another group site and we played there (since no one was using it).  I wanted to spend more time there, it seemed like our camping trip was over so fast!  I did not want to leave.  My favourite about camping this year was playing in the forest with my friends.  I can't wait until next year.

We went to watch "Moe and the Big Exit" at the theatre.  We had a big bag of popcorn.  There were a lot of people.  My favourite part was when Moe gets the people out of Dodgeball City.  I have "Little Joe" who goes to Dodgeball City.  My birthday is this week.  I will be ten years old!  I already got one present from Dad.  For my birthday party, I am going to invite Alicia, Emily and Allie.  I can't wait for my birthday!

I just started a new session of swimming lessons at the YMCA.  We have a new teacher.  I did not pass my level last time so I am still a seal.  My cousin Philip past his level so he is in the same class as my brother Moe.  We have to get new bathing suits for next week because our suits have lost their elasticity and we looking really droopy!  I hope to get a purple suit because that is my favourite colour!

We finished the Narnia book "The horse and his boy" last night so we will start the next book "Prince Caspian" on Monday.  My favourite part of the book was when the Narnians helped the Archenlanders fight the Calormene's.  The horses names are Bree and Hwin.

I cannot wait till Christmas!!  There is 21 days until Christmas.  I went to go see the "Living Christmas Tree" at our Church last night.  The choir performed in a tree that has lots of lights on it.  I went with my Grandma and Bubba.  Grandma said that I was her date!  Bubba had to go in the sound booth.  I saw lots of people I knew.  I sat beside Liam who is also homeschooled.  A boy that is in teens and a lady from church were acting in the program.  They were acting that the boy didn't know Jesus and the lady was teaching him.  My favourite part of the program was singing carols with the choir.

Yesturday, we started swimming lessons.  We have them at our YMCA.    I am a "seal".  My cousin Emily and my sister Curley are in the same class as me.  My brother Moe is a "floater".  My teacher's name is Heather.  She makes us know the names of all the kids.  They are also homeschoolers.  My favorite part of swimming are the front and back floats.  It's fun to be in swimming lessons.  My sister Curley started a blog today and so did my brother Moe.

School started on Monday.  We learn a verse each week.  This week verse is "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).  We started Math.  We use Saxon Math.  I really like Math lessons.  I started creative writing and I have written two stories so far.  One was about summer and today's was about camping.  Today we started Astronomy.  We learned about what Astronomy was and how the heavens helped tell time and seasons.  Also  how the constellations help sailors know which direction they are in and how the help birds know when to migrate.  Soon, we will get the rest of our curriculum (phonics, spelling and grammar).  I hope this is the best school year ever!!!

We went camping at McGregor Pt.  We had a big camp site.  We went to the dog beach.  It was very rocky. We started on Friday the 14th and ended on Wednesday the 19th.  We got a new dining tent from Canadian Tire.  We went to the beach alot.  We also went to lots of kids programs at the park.  We did a scavenger hunt, nature hike, went to an outdoor concert, learned about the park, learned about worms.  My favorite program was about the difference between moths and butterflies. There was a vistor centre that we went in.  It had lots of neat stuff in it like snakes, frogs, turtles, different kinds of nests, information on lots of animals like beavers, raccoons, butterflies.  We had a campfire every night except one when it rained.  When it rained, our dining tent fell down! On the last night, we roasted our hotdogs and had smores.  Every night we had a campfire, we would sing songs.  I liked McGregor Pt.

I went to Gigi & Papa's house for four days.  We slept in our tent in their backyard. On Monday it rained and thundered and lightening.  But slept through it.  We did lots of exciting things.  On Sunday, we went to the beach for my brother's birthday.  I had fun there.  My sister made a kite, it accidently flew into the water, but I got it out for her.  We went on the pier and we saw a huge boat.  It was a boat loaded with salt.  My sister and I found lots of pretty rocks.  I found a rock that looked like a ruby.  Then I lost it in the water  The water was deep and rocky.  We loved jumping in the waves.  At Gigi and Papa's house, we unloaded the car from the beach, everything was sandy.  Gigi and Papa have a hot tub that we got to go into.  It is a lot of fun.  This week went to "Camp Turnaround" which is a CEF 5 day club in town.  We heard lots of stories, songs, puppets and games.  It rained while we had snack and had to go in.  The last day we went we had rice crispie squares for a snack.  My brother and sister and I all went to the club.  There was another girl with the same name as mine!  On Friday, our family is going camping at a campground.

Yesturday I was baptized.  My Gigi, Papa, Grandma and Bubba all came to see me.  My Pastor is Pastor Boyd.  I wasn't even scard.  The robe I had to wear was really long.  I wanted to get baptized because I saw others getting baptized and I thought I should show others I believe in Jesus.  Afterwards, I had a party at my house.  We invited many people including my cousin Emily.  There was lots to eat.  I ate a hamburger, chips, salad with strawberries, and ice cream for dessert.  I got a cards, key chain with my name on it, and a cross necklace. 

Today was my last day of school!!! My favorite subject was Grammar.  One of the things I really liked doing this year was art and math.  I like homeschooling because I get to stay home with my family and my mom teaches me and we get to do lots of stuff together!

This summer we are planning on camping, going to the beach, sports camp and VBS!  Our family also has a reading contest.  We have to read a book and add it to the "Reading Contest Board".  Mom won last year, but I'm going to beat her this year!! One of the books I'm planning to read is "Little Women".

On Saturday, we went to our family reunion.  It was at my Great Aunt's house.  It was a long drive there.  I had fun there.  My cousins Ian, Dillan, Ryan and Rylie were there.  So were many of my aunts and uncles.  They had a swing set and a sand box.  One of my Uncles gave us some slimey candy.  We played games like frisbee, water balloon toss, and soccor.  We got prizes and I got bubbles that smell like vanilla.  There was LOTS of food!  I had a hamburger, taco salad, potato salad and lots of watermelon.  My favorate thing that I ate was the potato salad because mom made it.  I can't wait to go camping with my cousins this summer.

It was track and field day today.  There were lots of things to do.  My favorite thing was the high jump.  It is when you jump over a pole and try not to knock it down.  I got a ribbon for second place in that event.  I also did ball throw, long jump, running races,  and standing long jump.  I received ribbons for fourth place for those events.  I met new friends and one girl I played with was named Sasha.  I was glad it was really nice out.  I was hot after running 400 meters.  We enjoyed freezies at the end of the meet.  I look forward to going again next year.

We were going camping this weekend.  We with our friends, the Kortens and the Grays.  They had tent trailers and we slept in a tent.  I was nice and cozy in my sleeping bag.  At the end of the day we had a campfire.  My friends, Rachel and Julia and I skipped together.  I learned a new skipping rhyme.  We also played capture the flag and ball tag, we played barbie together in Julia's van when it was cold out.  We were right by a forrest that we explored.  We went on two long hikes.  We hiked on a boardwalk over the marsh.  We saw lots of trees, trillums (which are Ontario's provincial flower), lake, a stream, went over a large bridge, saw birds.  It was lots of fun.  Unfortunately, the weather was windy and rainy and cold. But we had fun anyway.  On Sunday, we gathered around the campfire and sang worship songs and had a devotion.  The best part about camping was having smores at the campfire.
