Summer Break - soon please!
Well, I've given the girls all the rest of their assignments for the year and told them that summer break would start whenever they were done. That would have been enough motivation for me to finish the very next day. But not my two ADD princesses! I've had to change the rules and told them that if they don't finish before the PS (which is June 5th I think) that they will not be able to watch TV, have computer time or play with their friends until it is done. We'll see if that has any effect. Emily may make it soon - Sarah needs constant hand holding which I am not able or willing to do. So she might not finish her work until right before we start into our next school year - August 4th. That will drive me crazy!
Molly is sooooo close to crawling. She reaches for everything in sight and does 360 degree turns on her tummy. She cannot go far but wants to and will whine when she cannot get to what she wants. So then I have to pick her up and it starts all over. I think I'd rather just have her do the whole crawling thing. I wasn't anxious for it to start but I cannot even sit her down for a minute now without having to pick her up. She is also working on tooth number three. She finally got the hang of a spoon and has become a veggie afficionado. She loves her peas and squash! I've mixed applesauce with her oatmeal and she likes that. We'll probably add in sweet potatoes and green beans next week.
Laura just wants to play outside all the time (when she isn't eating or asking about what will be the next meal or snack.) She cannot be out front by herself, but I will sometimes let her play in the back if I am in the kitchen and can look out the window and see her. She'd play out there all day if I let her I think. She has finally learned to peddle and steer her big wheel. I may try to see if she can figure out Emily's small bike that has training wheels on. It may still be a little too big for her - she's such a petite thing. She is definitely going to be the smallest sister. I know that there is going to come a time when Laura and Molly are wearing the same size clothes much as Emily and Sarah have for the last three years. Then it's going to look like I have two sets of twins - and I will take all the sympathy I can, thanks.
Blessings.
