What do these three bands have in common you ask? Well, we just saw all 3 of them that's what !!! !!! It was sooooo awesome!!!! Our kidlets had so much fun !!! We played in the bounce houses prior to the concert, saw all three bands, waved light sticks, bought posters and got AUTOGRAPHS and hi fives from the band members...lol...my daughter particularly loved that. Best of all we shared it all with Heather's family. It was so nice to get together with Christian friends and just enjoy the evening. I've been to many a rock concert in my day and these rocked the house just as much but in a wholesome Christian atmosphere. I felt so priveleged to be a part of it all. You can listen to Big Daddy Weave here and here Listen to Rush of Fools: (love this) here and Jason Gray (talking about his wife Grace) here We also saw our old minister (whose name is also John). He looked fabulous. He has lost 125 lbs....WOW!!! It was great to catch up a bit.
Not much else is going on. We have had our first homeschooling meeting of the year and it was nice to get back in touch with all the moms. It's so encouraging. Our Wednesday night classes have started as well and i'm taking "For Women Only" and Mike is taking "For Men Only"...it's supposed to be awesome for insights on each other in the marriage. We are loving it so far. I love seeing Mike go to church and dinner with us on Wednesday nights even though I know he thoroughly enjoyed his time alone. Our friends Kort & Rebecca are teaching the individual classes. They have such a heart for marriage and are both such great teachers. So down to earth.
Well that's all for now. Life moves pretty slowly around here and that's the way we like it. I prefer the liesurely pace. School is in full swing and having Jack and Vivi with us makes our lives full of fun and enjoyment at having little ones around again. We don't have them tomorrow (Monday) so I hope to get my house back in order from the busy weekend.
Hope everyone is having a blessed day,
Laurie
