Yes, Mike was gone ALL last week.  sigh...the kidlets and I really missed him.  It's amazing what you miss when your dh is gone.  Besides the fact that you are sleeping alone and just generally missing him, I forget to put gas in my car, take out the trash and pick up the mail.  All things he normally does for me.  

Mike went to school in Chicago for work.  He got a 100% on the course and that means he gets a $100 bonus !!!!  We are excited because we are going out for our anniversary this weekend (and also for his Bday!!)  We are going to go see Fireproof.   (  www.fireproofthemovie.com  ) I am so excited I can't stand it...lol.  We're also going to hit a nice restaurant and just some general window shopping, etc.  My friend Rebecca offered to watch the kids for the day so life is good !

Last weekend we went to Mike's company picnic.  It was the first time I met his new bosses and co-workers.  Interesting bunch.  Lotsa drinking which we aren't really into...especially at 12 noon !!   But they had a great buffet and horse rides (Paige was in heaven) and bounce houses which the kids really loved as well.  We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed ourselves.  Then on the way home we went by the pumpkin farm to pick out our pumpkins for the season and get our fall decorations (corn stalks)...I love decorating for fall because it works straight through until we decorate for Christmas.  =)  Then Saturday night Kort & Rebecca invited us all over for s'mores...what fun!!!!  We all sat around the campfire and talked and laughed and talked and laughed some more.   Then Sunday was church.  We got to go to our SS class again because I am not teaching this month.  Afterwards we had a quick lunch and then Alec went over to Mike's parents house to watch a race with his Grandfather.  Paige and I went over early to pick him up and just hung around for a couple of hours spending time with my mother in law and sister in law Millie,  niece Shelby, nephew Clay,  niece Ashley and her kidlets, Jack and Vivi (my extended babies).  It was nice to catch up...we don't do it nearly enough. 

All in all a fantabulous weekend.  Fun and busy.  I like fun and busy...hehe.  Today was back to normal with Mike at work and us with school work to do.  Jack & VIvi are here today as well and are currently taking their afternoon nap.  We finished up school...threw some laundry in and the kids decided to watch a movie while I get online.
