Heart Conditions and Low-Carb 'n it !!!!

Well, the truth is out...I'm getting older and I am at an unhealthy weight.  My heart has been telling me so lately with palpitations that have everyone worried...well not me...lol...but everyone else !  Yes, my friends my starring role  as a sloth has got to end.  I am getting easily winded going up stairs...I am VERY out of shape.  So I have decided enoughs enough and starting tomorrow I will be on Day 5 of my new low carb lifestyle.  (Too afraid to say "diet".  That just sets ya up for failure you know !!!)

Really so far it's pretty good.  My alternative is expensive testing that I am really not wanting to do.  So I thought I would try this first.  I had this same problem a couple of years ago...they did an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) and everything was fine.  This time I wore a heart monitor for 24 hours and everything seemed fine the doctor said.  Now I am to schedule a stress test.  Ya know,  I think I'm just going to try to lose some weight first.  Life is stressful (well sorta) and maybe that is part of my problem.  I need to slow down and have more of a quiet spirit...which with the Lord's help I am working on.  With daily Bible studying on my own, lotsa prayer and a book called "Homeschooling With a Meek & Quiet Spirit" (no one allowed to laugh at my abilities to be meek and quiet here !!) by Teri Maxwell.

So we'll see.

Blessings,

Laurie

I was wondering what you found out with the moniter, glad to hear that they didn't find anything major!! And I will continue praying for you and your "lifestyle change", not diet!! As you know God is ALWAYS there and listening, so HE can guide you into the meek and quiet spirit you are craving!!
Love ya
