Three Days of Sheer Ornery Cussedness

Well, I really hope to have the time to join Cindy Rushton online at Talk-A-Latte this evening, if I can get away with not having Breakneck breathing down my neck. I'm not sure she'll want my company though.

That's right, folks. Welcome to 3 days of sheer ornery cussedness, also known as Pitiless Man-eating pSycho week. I forgot to take my vitamin B and primrose oil, and the full moon hath sneakedeth upth on me.

Dave is hiding in the honey house. Actually, he's not hiding. We're taking off the first round of honey, which is pretty much all pre-sold, since we ran out of winter stock a long time ago. That's a sweet thing. NO. It is NOT a pun, and don't tell me what my intentions are! YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME.

Ahem. As I was saying. You see, there was this really cool little drawing-a-circle thing God did in my life, which I recently told Cindy about, as it involved her. It went like this:

It’s funny, how God makes things work together. I don’t remember how I found you. But I did, and enjoyed your newsletters from the get-go.

Then, one day, I saw that you were into blogging. Blogs were weird foreign animals to me. But I came and checked it out.

When I checked it out, I discovered the HSB community.

When I discovered the HSB community, God led me to a group of people who graciously let me use them as guinea pigs for my writing endeavours.

When I practiced at my writing endeavours, I got better. Faster, more focused, more clear.

When I got better, Carla Klimuk (and now Nancy Carter) offered me exposure through the Homesteadblogger BlogLibrary.

When I realized I was getting good feedback from editorialish people, I decided to join the Christian Self-Publishing list.

When I joined the list, I ran into Lorraine Curry.

When I ran into Lorraine Curry, we ended up talking about her new secular-edition Easy Homeschooling project, which I’m excited to be involved in.

When we talked about the project, Lorraine asked for my testimony to put on her website. It’s the Christian conclusion to my non-religious info on critical thinking. I was so excited that maybe God will use me to impact secular homeschoolers and maybe even share salvation with them.

When I went to see what else is on her website, I saw…

“Lorraine with Cindy Rushton podcast”!!

And I thought about a newsletter I got many months ago…

I dunno. It's just one of those funky things that makes you go, "Hm, God is so obviously in charge of life's flow when you actually admit He's real." Anyway, I want a chance to sit down and chat some more with some of my southern acquaintances. You never know what'll happen next, as you can plainly see.

It is always easier to trace God's hand when we stand back and look from a different historical vantage point. When I divorced my first husand and made my way to God, I was journaling. I needed a place to put all those thoughts that were too personal to share with friends and family. I have kept this document and re-read it when I lose focus of God's love and His plan for my life.

Isn't it funny that at one time I felt my thoughts were too personal to share with my friends and family, but now I blog about them on the Internet? I guess I feel that at least in this medium, people have the opportunity to ignore me as needed. I get to organize my thoughts, I may get input, I may help someone in similar circumstances ~ what could be better.

I tried to answer the question you posted in my blog about parenting without falling into our parent's techniques. I am really just researching what the Bible says, exploding myths, studying the Hebrew words for "train" and "rod" and killing sacred cows. I don't know if any of my thoughts will help you and have decided the stuff I write on parenting is one of those things that I do just because by forcing myself to put my Bible study into words that can be understood by others, I force myself to dig deeper into these concepts.

Blessings ~ my husband tried to raise honey bees as a child. I still have tons of beeswax to prove it. I am not sure what he is going to do with it, but he doesn't want to through it out. He never really was successful at establishing a healthy colony.
