Well, I had a grand time with Cindy and nearly 50 others at the Talk-a-Latte open house last night. I've never done online conferencing (chat room) before. To be honest, I just sat back, closed my eyes and did a little weeping as Cindy talked about the burdens of homeschooling and all the silly things that go through our heads when we lose focus.

At which point, I realized I had a bad case of vertigo. I haven't been well for most of the last week, but this is a whole new level that can't just be put down to my Predictably Maniacal Streak.

Although that's well and functioning, too. Dave and I have had some interesting conversations today. For instance: "I'm sick of our bedroom, I want to move it around, we need a lighter bed frame because I like to move furniture and I can't move this."

Dave: "Um, okay, maybe we can look into it."

This was shortly followed by: "I need shoes. I want to spend about five hundred dollars on shoes."

Dave (choking): "Be still my... Nope. Start beating again, my dead heart. I can't even spend that on work boots!"

"That's because you only get one pair. That would get me three or four."

Dave literally does have a heart attack this time.

I truly and honestly, deeply feel these irritations of bad shoes, old carpets and crappy home plumbing at times like this. Next week, I'll deny all knowledge and say I was just dizzy. Till then, it's a good thing we're an hour's drive from the nearest quality shoe store. Though, of course, my truck can outrun his car.....
