Jonathan's Lecture Hall

If you're familiar with the Jon Edwards work Christian Love as Manifested in the Heart and Life -- or if you're not -- let me just invite you to pop by my latest online location, Jonathan's Lecture Hall. This is for my benefit, mostly, to break the 16 "lectures" down into bite-sized pieces and give them a good think over.

But, hey, what's a devotional if you can't share once in awhile. I have no plans to be particularly regular with posting there, beyond making sure I show up at least once a week, so it's kind of a WHATEVER thingy.

But, it will be interesting. And, I will have links to online locations for the full sermons. And, it will even be controversial.

My fave so far for massive enlightenment, out of the sermons I've actually gotten through, is Charity, or Love, More Excellent Than the Extraordinary Gifts of the Spirit, in which our good Mr. Edwards tackles all those hard questions about Charismatism --good? bad? ugly or beautiful? -- with utter panache and exquisite reason. This is especially interesting when you consider that certain major Charismatic leaders turn to Edwards as a support for the movement.

But I get ahead of the game. First, it's Love, the Sum of all Virtue. In teeny bits and pieces, with only one or two things to ponder and get opinionated on at the end. After all, where would I be without my opinionated opinions?
