Okay, so I'm a day late again. Something always happens (like that pernicious absent-mindedness). Today, I'm featuring blogs from my corner of the world - Manitoba, Canada.

First up is Muttering in Manitoba, a blog that takes a look at Canadian politics and life from a conservative perspective. It may not sound hugely daring to the more-outspoken American crowd, but we don't take for granted our right to speak our minds up here. Our culture's attitude towards religious expression is significantly less accepting. So it's pretty rare (so far) for me to encounter a Canadian - let alone Manitoban - blog that will fly the Friends of Israel banner.

Second is Darlene Schacht, who runs the Christian Women Online e-zine and blogroll. I had no idea she was from my part of the globe, but she dropped me a line at SBD to say hi, I'm in your neighbourhood. Next time I'm in Winnipeg, I may have to check our their publishing business. It's in a cool part of town.

Third is A Proud and Unapologetic Winnipegger, who was beating the campaign trail with Conservative leader Hugh McFayden. (It's like running for governor, only way more low-key, and the voters are ten times as cynical.)  For those interested in a glimpse of Canadian politics, or what it's like to be in the middle of politics in general, it's a good read. (McFayden didn't get to be Premier of Manitoba, by the way - the socialists-who-can't-see-past-the-capital-city's-perimeter won again.)

Last is a bit of a shameless plug - my local Arts Council. Now, if you click over there, what I'd like to hear are suggestions to make the site more interesting, more informative, or more interactive. What would make it revisit-worthy in your mind? What would convince you your Canadian friends (or arts friends, or....) should know about it?
