Urgent Prayer Needed - Stillborn Baby

My friend Rikki lost her baby boy at full term today. In spite of earlier problems with the pregnancy, the baby was healthy and moving around last night.

Rikki is a single mom who's had a lot of trouble finding acceptance in the city churches. (Our "city" is still really a small town, in attitudes as well as relative size.)

Rikki has a 3-year-old son, and she has been seeking God and trying to get her life sorted out these last months. It's been a lonely, scary road. Her son held his little brother's body this evening and tried to sort out in his wee heart where heaven is. When I talked to the little guy on the phone earlier, he said, "Where's my brother?" Then he asked, "Where's my mama?" So many things in his mind right now. He's staying with friends until Rikki's released.

Anyone wishing to send prayers and kind thoughts, please use my email address in my profile. Rikki remains in the hospital and is too grieved to see anyone right now, but I will collect the well-wishes of everyone that I can, print them off and send them to her. If you want a compassion project for your kids, let them send drawings or notes, scanned or digital photo'd. Any gestures would be welcome.

I've spent the afternoon crying for her, and so have many others around her. But we can never, never feel her grief.
