• Jun. 2, 2007 - Horizontal rain, booksale, and research time, prayer request
First, the horizontal rain: shall we tell the nice lady on Fox News that a tropical storm might not be *exactly* what we needed. We aren't dry anymore though! It rained from around 5am until 8pm today. Falling rain, sideways rain, and very cold rain too.
Today was also our local homeschool group's yearly booksale. Not a *great* day for a sale but true to homeschoolers we were still there! I got mostly $1 and free books (no surprise) but bought the Apologia Flying Creatures book for science and found Solomon the Complete Book of Thomas the Tank Engine Stories. Abagail got some American Girl books and cookbooks, Arthur got some history books and a computer game, I got The Oregon Trail game, and even found Lucas a small book of The Wheels on the Bus. You would have thought I'd brought home CANDY with how excited the kids were!
Since it rained and rained and rained and rained and, well you get the point, I spent quite a lot of time online doing yet more research. I'm going to post a long list of our schedules for this coming year pretty soon but for now, you'll just have to keep checking back.
The prayer request is for us and for Gentry (Ginky as he's called around here). He goes kinda crazy around 8pm, right when the others go to bed and doesn't normally cool off till almost 11pm. We haven't figured out yet how to get around this hump but pray that we can either figure it out or it will just stop. |
